SUMMARY
I have over 3 years of experience in the design, development, and deployment of web-based systems. Each of the systems has been database-driven application using Perl, JavaScript, and HTML. Further, I am comfortable in Java and C/C++ development. I have approximately two years of experiences in database design using entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs). I am proficient in the use and administration of Linux and Windows (95,98,NT).
EXPERIENCE
Computer Sciences Corporation: 2000 to Present
Lead programmer and database designer. Designed, developed, and maintained software and database for a web-based learning management system using Perl and MySql. Responsible for coordinating server configurations between the test sites and delivery sites. Responsible for installation of numerous software packages including Apache, MySql, Perl, DBI/DBD, Samba, Zope, CVS, and IIS.
Network marketing and lead generation. Developed system to facilitate in the marketing and networking of member businesses, where each member is able to communicate directly with the contact for a lead or to pass the lead to other members. Built prototype using Perl and JavaScript. Developing the final system using JSP and PostgreSQL. System is secure, using the encryption function of the database, and verification within the application itself.
Automark: 1999 to 2000
Data management and system configuration. Responsible for remote execution of reports and capturing resulting data. Oversaw daily downloads from automobile lots from around the country. Developed and maintained Procom scripts that automated the nightly download process. Ensured that the data was read into the database, and managed the business rules for each car lot.
Built a web-based system using Perl, Expect, and MySql to access Reynolds and Reynolds, and ADP systems. The system used Perl to drive an instance of Minicom. Expect was used to automate the login and downloading of data. The system provided a web interface to allow the administrator to view progress and to force, skip or redo specific downloads. Developed a prototype that was 85% more effective than the Procomm solution.

Freelance Programming
Resume collection system. Designed, developed, and deployed a resume collection system for a small locally owned company. This system allowed each applicant to enter and store his or her resume and identify with one or more categories of specialty. The system allowed management to search for applicants by location, hourly or per word charge, by name or specialty.
Bestway Rent-to-own: 1997 to 1999
Assistant store manager. As the assistant store manager I oversaw customer service, assisted with store sales and managed the customer service managers. My primary responsibility was to ensure that each customer we rented to renewed their rental agreement as agreed. My goal was to have a low percentage of non-paying customers at the end-of the week. This included personally collecting, or arranging for the collection of past due monies, repossessing or picking up our assets. I have experience issuing warrants, and arguing cases before the court. While at Bestway I continually had one of the lowest weekly closes, company wide, while managing to allow my routes to grow.
